Music nonprofits, galleries, theatre companies, film collectives, community arts spaces. Most of them running their own websites, their own promotion, their own tooling — alone. The Alliance is the shared layer underneath.

The Alliance is forming now, so read this as what it's being built to do rather than what it already does. Two halves, and the second is the one nobody else is covering.
Connect
One front door for the region's creative organisations, so the scene is legible from outside it.

Shared working infrastructure, so a two-person nonprofit isn't building alone what everyone else on this wall also needs.

Member organisations
The wall is going up.
Every tile is an organisation. Nine kinds, every one of them open — and we're setting the first tiles now. If one of these is yours, claim it.
Artists
Artists join free. Always.
You don't need an organisation behind you. Individual makers of every discipline are welcome on the wall, at no cost, with a link back to your own site and a badge to carry. Free is not an introductory rate — artist membership stays free.
Why an alliance
The talent isn't missing. The connections are.
Greater Philadelphia has no shortage of creative organisations. What it lacks is anything joining them up. Each one carries its own website, its own mailing list, its own promotion — usually on one overworked person — and a funder or client trying to understand the scene has no single place to look. Meanwhile the organisation three neighbourhoods over is solving the exact same problem from scratch.
There is already a body that represents the sector, convenes it, and moves grant money through it. That isn't this. We don't lobby. We build. The Alliance is the working layer: a shared front door, referrals between members, and infrastructure that member organisations can actually pick up and use. No cut of anyone's work, no gatekeeping, and free for artists permanently.
Who runs it
Kept up by working studios.
The Alliance is being put together by a small group of regional studios. They're operators, not members — the idea is that they keep the wall up so member organisations don't have to.

Individual artists use the second tab — that route is free and always will be.
Keep it free
Back the wall.
Artist membership is free and stays free. Keeping it that way costs something — hosting, printing badges and stickers, and the time that goes into the wall.
Money is the obvious way to help. It isn't the only one, and right now it isn't even the most useful one.
Ways to help

Donations aren't switched on yet — the Alliance needs an entity to receive them first, so the button below does nothing for now. For space, print or a referral, use the join form above and say which one.
The shared mark
Wear the tile on your own site.
Members put this badge in their footer, linking back to the wall. That link back is what turns scattered sites into one network: someone who finds any member can find the rest.
